Seed to Feed Salsa

For our final session of Seed to Feed Nutrition Education we made salsa from scratch and explored the benefits of making our favorite foods from scratch as opposed to buying it pre-made.  Our version had only 50mg per serving as opposed to over 200mg in many canned versions.  Kathryn prepped all the tomatoes for our young friends to chop (with plastic knives of course).

The finished product was a great success.  Even the students who stuck up their noses at tomatoes were willing to try the treat and found that they loved it!
